THE leader of AKEL yesterday accused a top DIKO official of causing problems for any potential cooperation between the two former government coalition partners ahead of next year’s presidential elections.
Andros Kyprianou said DIKO vice chairman Nicolas Papadopoulos is full of hate for AKEL and a “thorn” who tried to destroy the bridges between the two parties for the past four years.
His comments came just 24 hours before the two parties’ leaderships meet to explore the possibility of cooperation in the 2013 elections as part of AKEL’s decision to enter a dialogue with all parties except main opposition DISY.
